Together, with the involvement of our families, we strive to exemplify our Order’s principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. As stewards of our Order’s legacy, we endeavor to answer His call in solidarity with the priesthood, respecting life, defending of our faith and family and serving our fellow man.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS - TODAY'S KNIGHTS: WHAT WE DO
From the moment of our founding in 1882, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are men of faith and men of action.

In 2015, the Knights of Columbus set a new all-time record for the 17th consecutive year. Our charitable donations increased from 2014 by more than $1.5 million to a new total of $175,079,192. In addition, we achieved our highest level of charitable service in 2015, volunteering more than 73.4 million hours of service. The number of service hours contributed by Knights rose in 2015 by more than a million over the previous year’s total.

Our charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects. From international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and Habitat for Humanity to our own Food for Families and Coats for Kids projects and other local charities, the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless.

"We are answering Pope Francis’ call to go to the peripheries,” Supreme Knight Carl Anderson said. “We can reach half way around the globe to help those in need and we can reach to our neighbor next door. And we do that every day. That makes us witnesses to the faith."

If you’d like to be a part of an international organization of more than 1.9 million Catholic men whose principal work involves helping others in need, we'd like to meet you and invite you to join us.
Opening and Closing Odes
Opening Ode

Sing ye his praises loud and long,
And let the unenlightened know.
In ev’ry echo of your song,
the great deeds done tho’ long ago.
By Columbus of the valiant soul,
who first old Neptune has controlled.
Despite of Envy, Intrigue, Gold,
in the dim past of long ago.
With vessels three o’er stormy sea,
he thrilled the world of long ago.
While wisdom linked with destiny,
in justice scales its weight did throw.
We are his heirs; We wear his name;
We boast his deeds; We spread his fame.
Our order is the shining flame,
that lights the gloom of long ago.
Closing Ode

Now our evening’s work is done,
then let us ev’ry one,
join in a song.
Long may our order stand,
foremost in this freeland,
ready with heard and hand,
to right each wrong.
We have a mission great,
true to our church and state,
onward we move.
We dry the mourner’s tear,
the tired heart we cheer,
faith in our works appear,
upheld by love.uble.
